Protection. Education. Connection. There's an app for that at ascpskincare.com/app 15 M y favorite quote, and I often repeat it to myself, is: "The only constant in life is change." We must continually grow and adapt—and we must understand that if we don't accept change, we're doing a disservice to ourselves. I believe this about each and every one of you. You chose this career because you get to care for and educate your clients and watch their skin change over time. But you also know you have to care for yourself and continue learning as you ride the ebbs and fl ows of this industry. This issue of ASCP Skin Deep provides you with a jumping-off point. Consider this our challenge to you to keep advancing in your career. Advanced esthetics is on the rise, encompassing numerous modalities and devices you may not be familiar with—get a quick introduction on page 62. Plus, technology keeps getting better—take it from Sherrie Tennessee's feature about laser devices (page 70) and Marjorie Erickson's guide to permanent makeup (page 78). There is so much out there for you to learn, and the articles in these pages are just a start. Know that along your journey of growth, I'm right there cheering you on. But I might not be right here. It is with bittersweet emotion that I share this is my last issue as the editor of ASCP Skin Deep. It's time for me to face my own change. My time in this position has been a gift. I've created meaningful relationships with industry experts (some of whom contribute to this magazine!), I've had the opportunity to meet many of you, and I've worked with some downright cool and talented individuals at our offi ce in Colorado. I've been challenged creatively to keep up with skin care trends and I've helped start important conversations with hard- hitting article topics. I'm so proud of the work I've done here, but I'm also excited for what's ahead. Thank you for always reading and sharing ASCP Skin Deep content with such voracity. Our members make this association what it is. I'll leave you with this: Don't be afraid of the inevitable changes life brings. They're what make life so exciting.
