The language surrounding the goals of injectables that claim to hide wrinkles creates an endless and expensive cycle of prolonging and battling the inevitable: aging. As an esthetician and spa owner, I'm relieved to see the same pro-aging rhetoric I've been using in my treatment rooms for years begin to trickle through the cracks of the skin care industry. I encourage my clients to dissect the myth of "anti-aging." It's almost as if we've accepted that we will have to ght aging in this manner as the price we pay for being alive. Skin care professionals have the unique opportunity to change the narrative about aging and redirect focus through small yet powerful conversations throughout our careers. If clients want to be directed to a solution to their concerns around aging skin, we need to be very careful about where we direct them. One way I've found success is through the use of cold laser therapy, also known as low- level laser therapy.
