WALKING IN BEAUTY
There's a traditional prayer from the Navajo that
states, "I walk with beauty before me. I walk with
beauty behind me. I walk with beauty below me. I
walk with beauty above me. I walk with beauty all
around me." True self-care is simple, even if devoting
time to it is not.
Use the recommendations in this article to
release pain and tension as stepping stones to
building your personal healing repertoire. The
more you practice, the better you'll feel, and every
choice you make in favor of your wellness counts
and cultivates a lifestyle of walking in beauty. May
you continue to find ways to walk and playfully
experiment in your beauty laboratory.

Hand movements
occupy 25
percent of the
real estate in the
motor cortex, even
though our hands
do not account
for 25 percent of
our body. This fact
demonstrates that
attending to our
hands generates
greater body-mind
awareness.
