They can increase your bank balance while turning attendees into lifelong clients—as long as you do them right and with a plan. Below are several ways to successfully host a spa event that will wow your clients and leave you with new bookings, an influx of cash, and renewed excitement for your services. PARTY WITH A PURPOSE Before you decide to host an event, it's important to identify why. Some good reasons include launching a new service and raising awareness for it, celebrating a business milestone, or even celebrating your clients through an appreciation party. Whatever your why is, it should be at the center of your decision-making as you move through the planning process. CREATE THE GUEST LIST When you're clear on why you want to host an event, deciding who to invite might seem like the easy part. However, there are many ways to make a spa event successful, and one of them is to invite strategically. You can strategize by offering smaller, more intimate events that focus on a specific subset of people (such as those who have invested significantly in your business over the past year or VIP clients). You can also invite a specific group of clients if your focus is launching a new service for that group, such as clients with an interest in treatments that target skin aging, if your focus is launching a new service for that group. Having a smaller group and targeted audience of really interested clients can make events very profitable. Another way to host an event is to invite your entire client list for an open house where everyone is invited and can stop by for one-night-only specials and have the chance to learn more about you and your spa.
