Here are some treatments to consider incorporating in your spa: • Cold therapy—cold can be a trigger for some conditions but soothing for others • Light—specifically with lupus, clients may have sensitivity to light, so dim lighting may work best • Soothing music—such as spa sounds and classical music • Sound healing—such as sound bowls and gongs • Vibrational therapies—some conditions may affect balance, and therapies with vibrational aspects could exacerbate the condition, so client communication is critical • Warm therapies—nonlight, indirect heat like biomats, hand warmers, saunas You could be the conduit of care at the perfect time and help someone by referring them to a physician who specializes in a certain type of skin condition. vitiligo
