She has been with the organization for nearly eight years. Rossmann received her esthetics training at the Aveda Institute New York. Following her time at school, Rossman held two diff erent positions managing medical spas. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Towson University. Q. Why did you choose a career in esthetics? A. I actually started my professional career in banking after attending college. However, in my mid-20s, I attended a women- in-business luncheon and was seated next to a woman who worked in medical esthetics. I was intrigued by her work and her passion for helping others. I had already desired more fulfi llment out of my own career and she inspired me. We had a great conversation that motivated me to research opportunities within the skin care and beauty industry, which I already loved. Meet Lisa Rossmann ASCP INFLUENCERS dawnlorraIne.com conscIous sK Incare Ask about our Wholesale Trial Kit Q. What do you love about the Hand & Stone esthetics program? A. I couldn't be prouder of what we have accomplished in our skin care segment in just the last two and a half years. Since 2016, we have launched progressive modalities such as LED skin phototherapy and NuFACE microcurrent treatments, and we continually evaluate and test other technologies to determine the treatments that will be the most cohesive fi t for our clients. Our estheticians have access to an abundance of free training from both our facial vendors and corporate offi ce, and are recognized on a national level for completing each segment. We have designed a program called the Hand & Stone Elite Esthetician to acknowledge those who complete all advanced trainings, which has really helped build the culture of our company. Q. What did you do before taking the position at Hand & Stone? A. I worked in medical spa management, with my last position at Laser Cosmetica in New York City, and before that, American Laser Skincare. I loved working with advanced skin care treatments such as Laser Genesis, IPL, and fi llers, but these days, I am loving that our treatments provide amazing results at a signifi cantly lower price point and appeal to a much wider audience. ASCP Infl uencers honors and promotes the experts, product manufacturers, and educators who shape our profession.
