Would you say women everywhere want the same thing? A. Esthetics is very similar everywhere I have worked and lived. I would say women in Europe and the Middle East are far more devoted to professional skin care than women in Canada and the United States. Women everywhere want to have beautiful skin and are always seeking the next best product or treatment. But from my experience in Dubai and Kuwait, I have to say that the women there are far more likely to go that extra mile for beauty. These women consider beauty very important—I was always busy. Q. Tell us about your different skin care lines: Organica, Le Pamier, and the new pro products you plan to launch soon. What has made you focus on product development? A. While living in Kuwait, I wanted to develop my own products. As estheticians, we know the basics of ingredients. I wanted to know more about how ingredients worked together synergistically, as well as their ultimate function. I began reading books and traveled to Munich to attend the In-Cosmetics Expo. It was three days of meeting representatives from laboratories, chemists, and ingredient companies from all around the globe. I knew I wanted to develop a line, but how "While I may not be able to perform many of the treatments in the US that I learned in other countries, I am grateful that I have them. It makes me a well-rounded and educated master esthetician." —Pamela Bolado
