www.ascpskincare.com 67 Having said that, we're living during a time where modern diets are worse than ever because they are replete with chemicals, pesticides, and additives that do more harm than good. We've gotten away from whole foods, slow foods, and nutrient-rich organic meals that truly feed our cells to give them the needed tools to repair, fortify, and function correctly, the way their DNA tells them to. Processed foods, which lack nutrient value, stimulate infl ammatory cascades within the body, so skin becomes reactive, dry, and congested, and wrinkles far more easily with less exposure to ultraviolet light. The solution: avoid soda and other simple carbs like candy and white bread, bad fats, high-fructose corn syrup, and processed meats like cold cuts and sausage, which are full of harmful, cancer- promoting nitrates. Instead, consume a low-acid, anti-infl ammatory diet full of vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, and embryonic foods (seeds, beans, eggs), which contain collagen-boosting amino acids. IT'S ALL CONNECTED Good skin is about healthy cells. If you complement topical treatments with internal and emotional care to achieve the best results possible for each person's individual needs (down to our customer's smallest parts—their cells), you'll be able to help them stay younger-looking longer. Everything is connected within the body, and everything we do overlaps and has eff ects on our cells. While this may sound depressing, know that the reverse is also true— everything we do can also have positive eff ects on each one of our cells. And this is a thing of beauty.
