Work Those Strategic Alliances
When local business owners join your event and promote their business
by donating or discounting a good or service, everyone wins.
• Invite a local culinary school to cater your event. They usually offer great
food and service at a discounted rate.
• Food trucks are all the rage; have one park outside and invite guests to
bring their plates of food inside.
• Invite a local florist to donate a bouquet in exchange for free promotion.
• Book a budding local photographer to snap a few photos. Event photos
are great to have for future marketing and social media.
• Ask a local wine shop to donate wine or come pour for you.
Encourage these alliances to join in the fun and bring business cards
or a small takeaway to promote their business. Ask these folks to
extend an invite to their list of family members, friends, coworkers,
and clients to your event. This is your chance to get some fresh faces
in the door.
For the most profitable event, remember
that a confused mind says no. Make it easy
for guests to say yes by featuring just a few
product lines and two or three services.
