46 ASCP Skin Deep Winter 2025 every story has a beginning, middle, and end. Your videos should follow the same basic structure. If you're delivering highly educational content, a script helps you stay concise and organized, but it's OK to improvise as you go. If you are comfortable talking without a script, hit record and edit out any parts you mess up. Start with a Hook Grab attention right away by asking a question or making a bold statement. For example, if your topic is vitamin C, you could ask, "Do you want healthy, glowing skin? Let's talk about why vitamin C is crucial in your routine." This question creates a hook and establishes that viewers will learn something, so they will want to keep watching. The Middle and End of the Video This is the bulk of your video. You can introduce yourself and state your credentials. Add a little personality while also keeping the video on target for your potential clients and the topic. For example, you might talk about the benefits of vitamin C and how those benefits will help your clients achieve healthy, glowing skin. End with a call to action or offer—wrap up your video by summarizing what your viewers have learned and ask them to take action. You could say, "If you're ready for a glow-up, let's add vitamin C to your routine. Book with me at the link in my bio, or comment 'vitamin C' and I'll send you a DM with more information." STEP 3: VIDEO PRODUCTION ESSENTIALS Your basic setup includes your phone camera, a light source or ring light, and a tripod. A newer phone camera will have the best resolution, and that's what Instagram and TikTok look for. I like to set up in my office with my products or treatment table in the background. A lot of people get stuck on their room being too small or looking a certain way. The truth is you want to show your potential clients the space they will be in. It's OK to have a small treatment room; that's not going to take away from clients booking with you. If anything, pretending otherwise could affect their real-life experience when they see that your room isn't as advertised.
