A LITTLE GRATITUDE
Creating new, surprising, and innovative
experiences for clients who support you is
the most eff ective way to keep your business
thriving. As you develop or reassess your
menu, be sure to include an opportunity
to enhance each service off ered. If a client
scheduled for a basic facial, for example,
learns that there is a specifi c concern (such
as redness, sensitivity, or aging skin) after an
evaluation or consultation with a skin care
professional, a professional service alternative
needs to be readily available for them.
Little upgrades are a small price to pay to
keep your clients loyal and happy. Going the
extra mile will diff erentiate your salon or spa
and give you an edge over your competitors.

Step 3: Create a Flawless Canvas
with Liquid Foundation
Just like the face, lips may
need color correction. Applying
foundation can cancel out
any overly red undertones or
unevenness. Be sure to use a
foundation that is based on skin
care ingredients, such as aloe and
hyaluronic acid, and use a line that
includes a full range of shades,
from the very lightest to the darkest
skin tones. Apply a tiny drop of
foundation on the back of your
hand. Use a makeup sponge to
blend foundation onto the lips until
color matches the face. If necessary,
mix shades to get a perfect match.
Step 4: Lip Gloss
To achieve smooth lips with lasting
color, choosing the right lip gloss
is key. A formula with ingredients
like mafura oil or shea butter can
help keep lips super hydrated
while imparting the perfect dose
of color. Apply gloss in the desired
shade to sloughed and prepped
lips directly over foundation (if
applied), ensuring that application
is even and not too heavy.
Voila!
You have just given your client
a perfect upgraded lip service!
