Step 1: Exfoliate Lips
When creating any lip look,
exfoliating should always be your
first step. Use a gentle exfoliant,
such as face and body sugar scrub,
to help gently remove dry skin
from the tender lip area. With wet
fingertips, place a small amount of
product directly on the lips, gently
rub in with fingers, and then wipe off
with moistened cotton.
Step 2: Apply an Oil
Next, hydrate lips to help prevent
cracking and keep them smooth. A
skin-friendly oil made with vitamin E
and seaweed extracts can help. This
type of multifunctional emollient can
be applied on lips, around the eye
contour area, and even on cuticles
to boost hydration. Apply one drop
of oil directly on the lips. Using
circular motions, gently massage
the oil in with your fingers. Blot the
lips with a tissue or makeup sponge
to ensure product has been fully
absorbed and there is no excess oil.
Many clients have dry, chapped
lips in winter, and just a swipe
of lipstick or lip gloss may make
the problem look and feel worse.
To get lips smooth, flake-free,
perfectly hydrated, and ready
for a pop of color, here are some
professional treatments that
can help.
