ascp and you: your turn Dream Jobs If you could work anywhere, what would your perfect booth, spa, or skin care clinic look like? Relaxing music; natural colors; soft, natural light; and working with three to four likeminded souls as business partners. Noelle Means VIA FACEBOOK Tons of natural light! Clean, welcoming, mood-lifting colors. It would look like a sanctuary for my clients to retreat to when they want to disconnect, de-stress, and take care of themselves. Summer Ambroz VIA FACEBOOK Sheila Gordon PALM HARBOR, FLORIDA I want to move to a town near my current location that has a huge tourism industry. They need more spas, and my dream is to open one there and create tourism packages with bed and breakfast inns. I want it to be just skin and massage, no hair or nails; quiet, with soothing colors and music, specializing in antiaging and relaxation combined. Bright, with natural light coming in through gorgeous, oversized windows when you walk through the door. The scents of aromatherapy oils, fresh flowers, and soaps fill the air. Tranquil neutrals for décor. The treatment rooms would have dim light, relaxing music, the scent of lavender, and a feeling of positive energy. Jodi Braun READING, PENNSYLVANIA Cindy Caprio VIA FACEBOOK Greece, with an ocean view. Crisp, white linens with the blue ocean as my backdrop. I lived in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for 13 years and fell deeply in love with this romantic town. The Hacienda San Angel, one of the most beautiful hotels there, would be the perfect place for me. It's a spectacular property: villas with sculptures of angels, lush interior courtyards, and sweeping views of the ocean, the Sierra Madre mountains, and the town. Cathy Goodwin MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE Tahiti in one of those little bungalows in the middle of the water, with a glass floor to see fish! I would also love to have a spa with walls like movie screens, so clients can choose the theme. They could feel like they're receiving a treatment on a tropical island, in a rainforest, or in the mountains. I would like to work at Infinity Bay Beach Resort & Spa in Roatán, Honduras. In my free time I would scuba dive. Cathy Fadial JOHNSON CITY, TENNESSEE Violetta Demoney PEORIA, ARIZONA Answer our next question: If you could only use one machine in your skin care practice, what would it be? Email your answer to editor@ascpskincare.com. Answers will appear in the January/February issue and may be edited for length and clarity. 40ASCP Skin Deep November/December 2013
