3. ASSIGN SKIN CARE HOMEWORK Even if your client is coming in for a weekly visit and checkup, that still leaves them on their own for six days. Commit to being a constant and motivating force in their skin care regimen by assigning "homework" that can be monitored remotely by text or email, with photos included as necessary. This can be assigned on the day of the weekly visit. To ensure that your client understands and completes the homework assignments, focus on one problem area at a time and make your instructions clear and easy to follow. These could be as basic as trying a new cleanser or moisturizer, adjusting the exfoliation routine, or applying a new form of sun protection. They can also be more targeted, such as experimenting with an eye treatment, trying a bedtime mask, or adding a serum to the daily regimen to hone in on wrinkles or other specific concerns.
