www.ascpskincare.com 75 SO, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? Right about now you might be asking yourself, "If all waxes contain pretty much the same main ingredients, what is the difference between one wax and another?" The answer is that it all goes back to the three things that take a wax from wimpy to wonderful—quality of ingredients, formulation, and the skill of the technician. You may not be able to find out the exact source or formulation of the ingredients, as that tends to be proprietary information, but you can get an idea of the quality of the product based on how the manufacturer or supplier chooses to market it. For example, look for words like "organic," "biodegradable," "compostable," and "pure" in the description and marketing of hair removal products, and that will give you a good idea of the quality of the ingredients. Another tip to remember is that all wax ingredients are not created equal and depending on the country of origin, regulatory standards can vary greatly, which could have a huge effect on the quality of the final product. The higher the standards and the purer the quality of ingredients, the better the hair removal result will be. Don't be afraid to research and ask questions. Just because one wax may have the same ingredients as another does not mean it works the same or reacts the same.
