Resin, Colophony, Gum Base) Used in both strip and hard wax formulations, rosin is sourced from trees (primarily pine trees), and is what gives the wax its stickiness. In its natural form, rosin can vary in color from light to dark, in the hues of yellows to browns. Color may be added to the wax to change the appearance and make it more pleasing to the eye. Rosin is a versatile ingredient, and it can be found, in one form or another, in everything from musical instruments and household cleaning products to food and beauty products. Beeswax Beeswax is the most commonly used wax ingredient; it's what makes the product work the way it does.
