Before putting down your hard- earned cash, take time to do research and understand the differences between your options so you can make the best choices for you and your clients. This applies not only to the product line you use on clients during treatments, but also the product lines you retail. Clients want to be treated by knowledgeable professionals who can give educated advice about how to continue to improve their skin at home between spa visits. It is extremely important for estheticians to think of the retail area as a powerful contributor to clients' success and satisfaction, and not just a source of increased revenue. Get Feedback Begin by talking with your clients (or potential clients) to get a feel for what they want or need. Ask them what products they've used or seen elsewhere that they liked. If you're in a busy location or have a more experienced client base, consider having several different product lines aimed at different needs.
