Teamwork Works
I've just returned from
Los Angeles, where I attended
the Western Publishing
Association's Maggie Awards.
ASCP Skin Deep received
an award, and our sister
publication, Massage &
Bodywork, brought home two.
It was such an honor to have
our work recognized, and
the exciting part is that these
are not the first awards the
magazines have received.
We are a small staff , but we
consistently produce two award-
winning publications (and a
plethora of materials for our four
associations) because we work as
a team. We work together to give
and receive feedback, share and talk through new ideas, help anyone who needs it,
and stay on deadline by following an established production process. We support each
other in the eff ort to provide you with a meaningful benefi t to your membership.
ASCP wants to be part of your team, too. We want to support you by giving you
what you need to help your business thrive and grow. This issue is loaded with tips and
ideas about marketing and retail sales, and even a little nudge to start thinking about year-
end events. I hope it will inspire you to take a step back and evaluate the overall health
and fi tness of your skin care business.
We've also included several member benefi ts throughout the issue, just as a little
reminder of all the ways we help you be the best esthetician you can be. We want you
to take full advantage of your membership! Have you set up your free website or attended
