FEED YOUR FACE
For a healthier summer treat, ditch the added
sugar and dairy and try this naturally sweetened
dessert. Frozen bananas are pureed into a
creamy soft-serve that's delicious on its own
or sprinkled with a variety of toppings.
Ingredients
3 medium ripe bananas, frozen
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons almond milk (or other nondairy milk)
1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional)
Optional toppings: dark chocolate shavings, toasted
coconut chips
Instructions
Place bananas, vanilla, salt, almond milk, and peanut butter
(if using) in a food processor or blender and puree until thick
and creamy. Depending on the power of the blender, the
process may take 2–3 minutes. It should be the same texture
as ice cream.
Divide among two bowls and top as desired. For a thicker
texture, place the mixture into a freezer-safe container and
chill for 10–15 minutes; scoop out and serve.
