We Never Stop
If there is one thing I've
learned during my first
year as your ASCP Skin
Deep editor, it's that the
skin care profession never
stops changing. Never.
Cutting-edge technologies,
devices, ingredients, and
trends are around every
corner. It's exciting, but
a bit overwhelming, too,
because like you, I want to
know everything!
Earlier this year, a few of
us from ASCP attended Image
Skincare's big 2016 launch party
in Denver. As Image CEO and
founder Janna Ronert introduced
new products, this idea of evolution
struck me again. There's always
an innovative, wonderful way for you to help your clients look and feel their best.
Although providing high-quality skin care is your top priority, I thought it would
be fun to take a look at some of the other ways you can profi t from your esthetician
license—and ideas to make your loyal clients turn to you as their expert for all things
beauty. Because they want (and will pay for) more than just healthy skin, right?
And so this issue is devoted to those lovely add-ons—makeup, waxing, and a service
that seems to be gaining momentum: salt therapy. We've also included information
about ways to show off your skills outside the treatment room, such as speaking at
conferences, teaching future estys, and writing for publications (like this one).
You have a wealth of education, experience, and knowledge. Why not use your repertoire
to its fullest potential and profi tability? Why not share your passion with the world?
Cheers,
Mary Barthelme Abel
