Create your free business website! www.ascpskincare.com 23 • GROUPS OF THREE Consumers understand groups of three: Small, medium, large. Red, yellow, green. A best practice is to have three separate pieces of content (for example: a brief story, a special treatment offering, a limited-time offer, or a special event) and to use a large font for each section title. Remember, less is more, so don't go overboard with the content. A few sentences of text with a link to "read more" on your blog or website is ideal. Finally, use a large image that is relevant to your content. If you follow these suggestions, you'll be on your way to a successful email marketing program. Make sure you have content your recipients will fi nd interesting and useful. Create a calendar to help you plan your content strategy. Schedule times to send out the content for your campaigns. You can use your own content or take advantage of relevant third-party content like blog posts and educational videos from product and equipment manufacturers on YouTube. You don't have to reinvent the wheel to become a valuable resource for your clients. Email programs like Constant Contact and others allow you to see the open rate and click-through percentages of your emails so you can see what content your subscribers are most interested in. Keep track of your emails to see what content generates the most response. For example, perhaps you sent out a blog post on a hot new industry trend and it received more clicks than usual. You know your clients have interest—perhaps you can add the service to your menu or offer it as a monthly special. Email marketing is a dynamic tool that can help you grow your business. Become a resource to your email recipients, and you will see success. Work to engage, educate, and inform, and you will see positive results that are sure to help you achieve your goals. Note 1.
