It's Show Time! Now it's on to the good stuff. What can your video be about? Anything! The easiest way to brainstorm video topics is by thinking about your current clients. Your online prospects have the same questions or concerns: what to expect from a particular procedure, advice about a skin condition, etc. Share information that will make a difference for your viewers and put them at ease. Here are six basic categories that will drive Internet seekers to your business. Choose any or all of these categories and come up with a few different video ideas for each one. • Announcements. Make a video each time you have a special event, new service, or new product to announce, as well as bigger changes like the introduction of a new team member or a new location. • Demonstrations. People love being able to see for themselves. Create demonstrations of products you sell, treatments you perform, or how to do the things you recommend clients should do at home. • Education. Talk briefl y about a skin care topic (for example, "How to Prevent Acne"), or clear up a common myth or misunderstanding with your expert knowledge. • Greetings. Welcome potential clients by showing them your environment. You can showcase your treatment room, waiting room, or retail area. Portray the atmosphere of your practice: clinical, fun, serene, or anything else. • Series. A series of related videos will attract larger audiences and keep them coming back. Educational topics are especially effective. Plan the whole series in advance and encourage viewers to subscribe to your YouTube channel so they don't miss a video. • Testimonials. You may have several clients who would be willing to say a few words about how they benefi ted from your treatments. See an example at www.bit.ly/1q5kV3z. Intros and Endings Begin each video with a greeting, your name, and your business name. Then tell the viewer what this video is about. Your wording should be similar to the title you will put on the video when you upload it. When people click on your video title, that topic is what they expect to see: if you don't get to the point fast enough, or if your topic is different from what they expected, they will not keep watching. For example, your video title could be, "Do a Home Facial Using XYZ Cosmeceuticals," and your spoken introduction could be, "Hi, I'm [name] from [business name] in [location]. Brainstorm video topics by thinking about your current clients. Share information that will make a difference for your viewers and put them at ease.
