The brothers moved from Budapest, Hungary, to Canada in 1996. After decades of dedication to the industry, they have cultivated a global brand that's certi ed B Corp with organic and biodynamic products. They also make an impact in the community with their Forests for the Future program (which plants trees for every product purchased) and Éminence Kids Foundation (a nonpro t that provides organic food to children in hospitals around the world). ASCP Skin Deep sat down to chat with this year's winners. Skin Deep: What does it feel like to receive the Industry Icon award this year? Attila Koronczay: Honored, humbled, and super cool! Boldijarre Koronczay: This honor is incredibly humbling and something that we could've only dreamed of. To be recognized as an industry icon, especially as a pair, makes this even more meaningful. We feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to represent this amazing industry together. SD: What's your biggest goal in your career? AK: To be an icon . . . Check! (Just kidding.) In all seriousness, my goal has always been to help people be more con dent and comfortable in their skin. BK: My biggest goal has always been to inspire more people to pursue careers as estheticians and fall in love with this life- changing profession. Helping others build meaningful careers in skin care is something I'm deeply passionate about. SD: What words of advice do you have for other brand owners in the industry? AK: If you want to beat us, you might need to be a triplet! On a more serious note: Stay passionate and persistent and don't lose your sense of humor along the way. BK: Success is not something that happens overnight. It's built through years of dedication, hard work, and perseverance. My brother and I spent years earning minimum wage, driving around in a beat-up Chevy Malibu station wagon to spread the word about our skin care products. For a long time, we even shared a pull-out couch together. Every step of that journey shaped who we are today. SD: You can use only one Éminence product for the rest of your life, what is it? AK: At this stage in my life, I can't live without the Marine Flower Peptide Night Cream. I use it day and night (sometimes it's hard to keep track). BK: It's hard to choose just one.
