While the certifi cation training has been highly eff ective, acne science and our company have continued to evolve. Even foundational terminology had shifted—like P. acnes to C. acnes—so it was important that the training refl ects what is current and clinically relevant. This update gave us the opportunity to modernize the content and ensure everything we're teaching has real application behind it. We also improved the learning experience. With new resources like Acne HQ (the on-demand digital learning and resource center), we moved away from a single, 83-question exam and introduced shorter, module- based quizzes. It's a more intuitive way to learn, supporting better retention while helping providers move through the material more effi ciently. What can skin care professionals expect to see in the new training? Professionals can expect a more modern, clinically grounded approach—one that refl ects current science and what they see in the treatment room. The training focuses on helping providers understand what drives acne, recognize common subtypes, and build personalized treatment plans with greater confi dence. We've also deepened the connection between theory and practice, with expanded education on acne formation, home care selection, and professional readiness—all tied directly to real client scenarios. There's a strong emphasis on application. It's not just about learning the "what" but also the "how" and "why," from assessment and FACE REALITY decision-making to setting expectations with clients. The goal is for providers to leave feeling more confi dent, more structured in their approach, and ready to step into their role as a trusted acne resource. How did you prepare the curriculum for the revised training, and how will it elevate the program? This was a very intentional process. We started with a detailed content framework that was reviewed by our internal team of Acne Experts to ensure it was accurate and relevant. From there, we partnered with a curriculum architect to incorporate adult- learning best practices, so the training is informative as well as engaging and easier to retain. One of the most valuable inputs came from our national Acne Expert population. We survey our community annually to understand where they want to grow and where they need more support. That feedback allowed us to expand on the topics that matter most in practice. As a result, the program feels more aligned with current acne science and more refl ective of what providers need every day, setting them up to deliver more consistent results. Sponsored by: Tell us how Face Reality supports Acne Experts after their certifi cation. Certifi cation is just the beginning. Ongoing support is what really helps Acne Experts grow their confi dence, skills, and business. We built a comprehensive support system that includes a continuing education library with hours of free, on- demand training covering acne science, product knowledge, and professional development. Beyond that, certifi ed Acne Experts have access to dedicated support teams, client-facing documents, marketing assets, and ongoing promotions to help drive engagement. The goal is to make sure they feel supported well beyond certifi cation, so they can continue delivering consistent results, build trust with their clients, and grow sustainably.
