Gen Z is not impressed by opulent packaging or big brand advertisement but rather by a brand's story and mission statement. Home care options for younger clients are abundant. The social media skin care boom has created a positive trend for brands. Gen Z is more likely than other generations to search for products to purchase directly from social media and make the actual purchase. 8 Many brands have taken note by adding their products to TikTok Shop as well as Meta. Estheticians have also started to ramp up their online product sales and are taking advantage of drop-ship programs.
