8 ASCP Skin Deep September/October 2021
Proper Protocol
SOLO ESTHETICIANS HAVE A LOT to think about and keep
track of: marketing, finances, taxes, scheduling, inventory
. . . and when the heck will there be time to take a day off ?
But in the end, we know the thing that keeps clients
booking those appointments and your business humming
along is how clients feel when they look in the mirror.
And so we devote this issue to protocols—the magic that
happens in the treatment room when you combine your
education, your talent, and the ingredients you have chosen
to help the skin concerns of each individual client.
Hopefully your business is fully open and your books are
full. And I suspect you are seeing clients with serious issues
stemming from stressed or neglected skin. Or—possibly
worse—clients who caused damage from some enthusiastic
but unsuccessful DIY skin care projects.
Either way, your expertise is desperately needed, and
results-driven protocols are going to save the day. If you're
not completely happy with your current menu options or
are thinking about changing them up, I hope some of the
protocols in this issue will get your creative juices flowing
and keep your book filled with happy clients.
Happy autumn,
