GG Skin Therapy made it a top priority to encourage clients to write reviews. Google no longer allows people to post reviews unless they have a Google account, so when clients were asked to leave a review, they were first asked if they had a Google account (or a Gmail address). If so, the client was asked to leave a review on Google. If not, she was asked to use the review link included in an email from Bookfresh and/or leave a review on a directory site such as Yelp or Citysearch. There are hundreds of sites offering consumer reviews, and the more of them your business appears on, the better. Regular clients who had a very close relationship with GG Skin Therapy were asked more directly to include certain things in their reviews: the company name and location, the name and description of the particular service they received, what their experience was like, and their results. visualize with videos You'll notice the GG Skin Therapy website includes many video clips. There are many benefits to adding video to your site, especially in a profession where personal contact is such a big part of the experience. Video is the next best thing to sitting face-to-face with your potential clients, talking to them, and letting them see the real you. Keep videos brief. Topics can include testimonials from happy clients, a tour of your facility, demonstrations of a service you provide, tips for clients on beauty or home care techniques, and anything else you can think of. After creating the videos, Goodman uploaded them to GG Skin Therapy's YouTube channel, posted them on the website, shared them on social media sites, added them to the spa's Google Places profile, and submitted them to numerous other video sites (YouTube isn't the only game in town: just a few other contenders are Dailymotion, Flickr, Metacafe, Veoh, and Vimeo). You could also make each video do double duty by transcribing it into written form as the basis for an article, blog post, or even a presentation at an event. From here, Goodman plans to continue expanding her ASCP website by adding blog posts and more client testimonials (both written and in video form), and increasing her business exposure across the Internet by creating and posting content in a wide range of venues. By using some or all of the same techniques, and setting aside some regular time each week to keep your website fresh, by this time next year your practice can achieve just as much online visibility in your local area as Goodman's did.
