A: When I started my career as a pharmacist, I noticed an overall dissatisfaction among skin care consumers— that their issues were not being addressed—so I began to take advantage of my educational background to create compound custom formulations for ordinary customers, and then gradually for patients who were experiencing specifi c dermatological issues. Eventually, I opened a pharmacy dedicated to creating prescription skin care products for patients who were dealing with severe wounds and burns. Ultimately, my wound healing pharmacy evolved into a facility devoted to helping patients with conditions ranging from severe acne, skin cancer, psoriasis, and eczema to more mundane issues like dry or aging skin, utilizing my custom formulas, as well as providing nutritional supplements and protocols. Over the course of several years spent creating and dispensing prescription dermatology products, I discovered there was an important distinction between the skin cells and skin surface that was not being made. I realized that in order to create beauty with a topical product, the health of the living cell had to be addressed. I learned that because traditional cosmetics were focused on superfi cial feel and targeting the skin surface rather than the skin cell, the health of the organ and ultimately its appearance and beauty was not being addressed. I learned that a quality topical skin care product has to have healing eff ects; if it could not accelerate the healing of a wound, it could not be eff ective. And ultimately, I learned that skin health is skin beauty, and I wanted everyone to be able to have the same benefi ts my patients were experiencing from my 100-percent active and functional prescription formulations. I started Truth Treatments to take skin care out of its traditional world of superfi ciality into the realm of health and healing for the benefi t of savvy and sophisticated clients who wanted something more—something potent, and something real from their skin care products. Truth Treatment products contain only active and functional ingredients without wax, water, oil, silicone, preservative, etc. You only need tiny amounts to achieve beautifi cation and healing benefi ts. And, you do not pay for ingredients your skin does not benefi t from. Q: What types of education or training do you provide for estheticians? A: We do webinars and Facebook Live, teach classes, and are always available as an information resource via email, phone, and personal consultations. Q: What's next on the horizon for Truth Treatment Systems? A: Lots of new formulations for body, bath, and sun protection. Also, new nutritional supplements are on the way.
