A. Medical professionals are experiencing skin irritation and trauma due to prolonged wear of protective masks. The Face Reality team is proud to donate nearly $70,000 in nourishing skin care products to Faces on the Front Line, a charity that helps take care of health-care heroes who are bravely working at the forefront. We feel privileged and honored to be able to provide premium products to treat the skin behind the mask, and to boost the energy and spirits of those who are serving our society on the front lines of this pandemic. Q. WHAT ARE SOME WAYS THAT FACE REALITY IS WORKING THROUGH THE ECONOMIC LOCKDOWN? A. Our number-one priority is supporting our network of over 1,000 certifi ed Face Reality Acne Specialists. We have implemented strategic initiatives and resources to ensure our estheticians have the tools needed to be as successful as possible during this unprecedented time. In mid-March, we launched a drop- ship program, which allows estheticians to continue to run the retail side of their businesses and ship products directly to their clients' doors. We have also provided continuing education and tools for eff ectively treating clients virtually. Our mission has always been to treat as many people affl icted with acne as possible—we made it our goal to ensure our estheticians were able to make clear skin possible during quarantine. Q. ANY ADVICE FOR ESTHETICIANS AS THEY PREPARE TO GO BACK INTO THE TREATMENT ROOM? A. For estheticians who have not reopened yet, we suggest using quarantine strategically. Because quarantine off ers free time that was not available before, you can now complete projects that you may have put off , advance your skills by taking online education courses, and even map out a business social media plan to get the ball rolling when your doors eventually reopen. Take the shelter-in-place as an opportunity to catch up and get ahead. For our certifi ed professionals, we have prepared a reopening toolkit to guarantee they are set up for success, but we also urge everyone to take every state-recommended precaution to ensure the health and safety of yourself and your clients. And above all, stay resilient and keep a positive attitude—we're all in this together.
