ascp now offers advanced modality insurance! ascpskincare.com/ami 69 Social Media With over 500 million daily active social media users, why wouldn't you want an online presence to promote your work? Bonus: it's free! Following are tips for your Instagram page. • Write a killer bio—explain what you do, what city you work in, and a little bit about yourself and your mad skills. • Include a link to book with you. • Create a business profile (you will need a professional Facebook page to do this). This will allow you to add a phone number, an email address, and business address. You'll also be able to see insights on who is following and engaging with your profile. • Pay attention to your color palette. Be consistent with your brand. • Make the most of your captions— turn your page into a mini blog! Take the opportunity to educate your followers on lashes. • Post consistently. Try the Preview or Planoly app to schedule your posts. • Respond to comments quickly, and engage with potential guests. • Be sure to geotag your posts and photos so people know where you are. • Leverage hashtags to reach a broader audience (especially your city's tags to reach locals who could become your client). • Photos of your work are your best marketing tool! Practice, try different angles, and pay attention to lighting. Then, only post your best work. Facetune, Airbrush, and Adobe Lightroom are great photo editing apps (all free!). Referrals/Word of Mouth Create a referral system for regular guests. This incentivizes them to send new guests to you for a dollar amount off their next service and/or product. If you work in a salon/spa environment, try trading services with hairstylists, nail technicians, and the front desk team. These complementary professionals interact with so many people each day, it's a win-win way for all of you to cross- promote your services. If you work alone, make a plan with other local businesses. Business Cards They may seem old school, but you should always keep business cards with you—people still use them. Keep the content simple and clean—you don't want information overload. Just your name, social media handles, where they can find you, and how to book an appointment. Your Lash Work! Your work is your walking billboard. Communicate with your guests that you are accepting new lash clients and offer a dollar amount/percentage off for referring a new client. If you do great work, people are sure to compliment your clients and ask where they got their lashes done. Wear the Lashes Who better to talk about how the lashes feel, how long they last, and how to care for them than you? If clients see that you actually wear them as well, they will be more likely to trust and listen to what you have to say. Your work is your walking billboard. If you do great work, people are sure to compliment your clients and ask where they got their lashes done.
