ascp now offers advanced modality insurance! ascpskincare.com/ami 49 Lash Addict Q: How did Lash Addict get its start? A: Lash Addict started in 2018, but the journey started long before that. The founder of Lash Addict has been in the beauty industry for more than 30 years. As a licensed esthetician and salon and school owner, she has a passion for makeup, skin care, and quality education. She saw a need for esthetics and cosmetology students to have accessibility to quality lash training and products, so why not off er training directly in their program and equip them with the skills at a much lower cost? That is how Lash Addict was born. Q: What makes Lash Addict unique in the lash extensions market? A: With Lash Addict having its origin in beauty schools, we value estheticians' longevity in the industry and equip them with the tools and knowledge to have a sustainable lashing career. We keep their health and well-being a priority. Q: Why should estheticians choose Lash Addict products? A: Our products are cost-eff ective without compromising quality. This allows for larger profi t margins for our lash artists while leaving the guest more than satisfi ed. When working in the service industry, every product dollar counts. Q: Why do you think lash extensions are so popular? A: I think it's safe to say that lash extensions are not just a fl eeting trend; rather, they have become a staple accessory for women with a multitude of lifestyles. Nearly 50 percent of women have or will get eyelash extensions in their lifetime. The simple answer to the popularity of eyelash extensions is the ability to make your lashes appear fuller and darker while completely eliminating the need for mascara. Eliminating mascara from your daily routine saves time applying and removing it each day—and you don't have to worry about smudges throughout the day. FOLLOW THE LEADERS ascp skin deep special advertising section Erin Meyer, Sales Manager, Lash Addict Q: What do you think are the characteristics of a good leader? A: First, a good leader is consistent. They have a daily structure in place, and they hold their team accountable to high-quality service standards. Second, a good leader has excellent communication skills. One of our company mottos when it comes to communicating a subject is "three times, three ways"—maybe it is signage, along with conference calls, along with morning huddles. We want to ensure we are all on the same page. Finally, good leaders inspire their team. Celebrate your team publicly and coach privately. Keep positive vibes because those will bleed into the services the team performs. When a good leader shows these qualities, it is natural for their team to fi nd meaning in their work every day and show gratitude to their company and leadership. sponsored by I think it's safe to say that lash extensions are not just a fleeting trend; rather, they have become a staple accessory for women with a multitude of lifestyles. —Erin Meyer
