Looking for ways to
fill your appointment
calendar? Of course you
are! Maybe it's time you
turned to the other half of
the population—men. Just
like women, men want to
look and feel their best and
are turning to professionals
for help. The number of
men visiting spas continues
to trend up; if you haven't
gotten around to making
a determined effort to get
them into your spa, maybe
it's time.
I hope the articles in this
issue inspire you to take the steps
necessary to welcome men into your
spa—be it creating new menu items,
making a treatment room more "man-friendly," or developing
a marketing campaign specifically for the guys. The research
I see shows that men are interested in professional guidance
and products, so the time and energy you put into a strategy
will be well worth it.
In other news, the ASCP team is gearing up for trade-show
season! As I write this, the team is preparing to attend IECSC
New York, always our first big show of the year. I'm always
so excited to see all the new product introductions, attend a
few classes, visit with old friends, and make a few new ones.
I hope you can get to a trade show this year. I know it's not
always easy, but I truly believe attending at least one big one
per year can provide a burst of excitement and inspiration
you can take back to your treatment room.
