Daniela Woerner created her podcast with a goal of impacting the lives of 500 esthetic experts in 2018. "We are measuring [our impact] by reviews, comments, direct messages, and emails sent to us from estheticians sharing their stories," Woerner says. "I wrote a blog for two years, but when I became a mom, I noticed I didn't have time to read like before and found myself listening to podcasts instead. I knew that a lot of estheticians were moms as well, and that medium would be easier for them to consume." Currently, Woerner has nearly 20,000 esthetic experts in her community who are exposed to her podcast each week, and believes her podcast has become successful because it's real. "It's authentic, and I don't script things out," she says. "Sometimes I stutter over my words or go off subject, but I think those 'imperfections' make it relatable." And the feedback has been positive. "I believe listeners like the authenticity of it. I am an open book and have a true desire to help. I think that comes through and that they can feel it." Three of the most downloaded episodes of Spa Marketing Made Easy are recent podcasts, including "Defi ning Your Spa's Brand and Crafting Your Mood Board with Chris Beltran" (28), "How to Use Infl uencer Marketing on Instagram to Get More Clients" (29), and "How to Stop Leaving Money on the Table with Kimberly Kennedy" (27). "I have learned that people love stories," Woerner says. "Whether they are learning about marketing or business—or something else—it's easier to understand the material if you can hear it explained through personal experience."
