Smooth Moves
Make your service flow like a dance by Lynn Parentini
The difference between an average service and a great one has to do with the little things: the spaces in between. How you handle the transitions between products, parts of the service, or areas on the client's body can make or break a service. Just like in dancing or in music, you need a certain flow. If your transitions include some jolts, rethink your technique. Clanking supplies, too-swift removal of product, talking, abrupt touches, temperature—these little things are big areas to consider if you want clients to rave about you. Adding smooth moves is simple, but it takes planning, a little rehearsal, and a lot of consistency.
