editor's note Skin Deeper Does ASCP Skin Deep seem a little heavier to you? Starting this issue, we've added eight pages to your magazine and will be introducing some new columns to bring you more in-depth information, along with more of the skin care news from ASCP you need to know. On page 34, you'll find the first installment of an education column from Susanne Schmaling, the new director of education for Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP). One of ASCP's goals is to improve our range of educational resources to help established estheticians grow in their professional knowledge, and help new estheticians bridge the gap between school and the advanced skills that come with years of experience. In a previous issue, we asked ASCP Skin Deep readers what treatments, techniques, or skills they would most like to learn. We'll be using some of your responses as starting points for educational articles and webinars. We've also added a section (starting on page 37 in this issue) for news from ASCP and the world of skin care. Here you can find updates on contests and scholarships, legislative changes, and new discount partners, as well as answers to some common questions we hear from members. And, of course, we always want to hear your ideas on what topics would make the magazine more useful for you. Email me at editor@ascpskincare.com with any feedback you'd like to share, whether positive or negative. When we talk to our readers, we're constantly reminded how Turn to page 40 to answer this issue's member question: what's the best thing you gain from your work? many are unaware of the full range of benefits they receive as ASCP members⎯for no additional cost. Did you know you can view more than 30 hours of educational webinars on ASCP's website? More are being added every month. Or download any of the hundreds of images available in the ASCP photo library to use on your website or in your print marketing? Don't have a website, or don't know where to start with print marketing? We can help with that, too. Hundreds of members have used the ASCP Website Builder, the Client Newsletter Generator, the 230-page Successful Business Handbook, downloadable client forms, and all the other resources that come with your membership. Log in as a member at www.ascpskincare.com to find all the benefits that are available. Since 2007, ASCP Skin Deep has been one of those benefits of membership. Now, we hope that by expanding it a little, we'll be able to keep members informed about everything we have to offer, along with the in-depth articles you've come to expect.
