New Year, New Look
The new year is always a
good time to rethink things,
remake yourself, change life
up a bit. So, what better time
to reinvent ASCP Skin Deep?
First, a bit of history: the inaugural
issue was actually called ABMP
Skin Deep, created as a newsletter
supplement to our sister magazine,
Massage & Bodywork. It was created
to speak to the needs of "dualies,"
our dual-licensed members who
practice both massage and skin care.
That first issue, published in October
2004, was a modest 16 pages.
In early 2007, Associated Skin
Care Professionals became its own
association to support estheticians,
and ASCP Skin Deep doubled in size
and continued to add valuable content.

magazine.
February 2007
Associated Skin
Care Professionals
is created and ASCP
Skin Deep evolves
into its own magazine.

As the association grew, so did the
now-magazine, quickly becoming one
of your favorite member benefits.
Fast-forward to 2016: at more
than 16,000 members strong,
ASCP is the largest association
nationwide for estheticians and
skin care professionals. And ASCP
Skin Deep is strong, too—with this
issue, we grow to 68 pages and are
proud and excited to mark this
growth with a complete redesign.
You've probably already noticed
the larger size and bold new look. As
you read through the issue, you'll
discover a few other improvements—a
contemporary design, expanded
product and industry news pages,
and more columns full of tips and
advice from industry experts.
We hope you enjoy your 2016
ASCP Skin Deep as much as we enjoyed
creating it! Let me know what you
think at mabel@ascpskincare.com.
Happy New Year!
