What's the most recent continuing education class you took? ascp and you: your turn I took a class provided by my product line (GlyMed Plus) about advanced peeling and how to "cocktail" products to meet the client's specific needs. It was very interesting, especially since I have such a high demand for peels. Donna Quagline via LinkedIn Osmosis Pür medical education. Rebecca Fenaughty via Facebook Took a certification class and practical exam to become a dermaplaning instructor. Did really well and will teach my first official class next month. Love, love, love dermaplaning! Deborah Ellis via LinkedIn I took the Advanced Needling Workshop with Dr. Lance Setterfield, offered through Bellus Medical. I feel this class is a must for anyone who offers microneedling. I also recommend you complete the online training course that is included prior to taking the live class. Susie Lynch via LinkedIn I took a workshop on sugaring through Alexandria Professional. My instructor was Kristin Fennema and she was really great. I was initially interested in learning the art of sugaring based on its benefits versus waxing. I want to be able to provide my clients with an alternative that is more skin-friendly. I think I will focus exclusively on sugaring rather than waxing. Jodi Miller via LinkedIn My last class was in October at the Marriott Hotel in Port of Spain, Trinidad. It was conducted by international trainer Karima Hudson from Sothys. I would recommend it to others—this class wasn't just about a product line, there was so much technical knowledge attached, and let us not forget the networking possibilities and the encouragement from fellow estheticians. Cheryl Sue Wing via LinkedIn The last training I attended was a lecture and hands-on training with Jane Iredale. Next, I will be attending the first Temptu Pro live workshop via webcast. That's in addition to quarterly training with Eminence Organic Skin Care and Babor, where I learn not only product knowledge but different facial modalities, methods, and techniques. Anesia Overlund via Facebook Skin Script's two-day Skin-Tensive. I felt like it was my 600 hours in two days, plus way more! Interactive. Amazing! Kari Cox via Twitter I took the two-day Advanced Face Massage class at the International Dermal Institute in New York City and it was amazing! I left the class not only with an amazing new massage routine, but I also had the experience of receiving massage from my partner in class, which really reminded me what it's like to be the client. I've had the chance to work it into my routine and my clients absolutely love it. Awesome massage routine and awesome class! International Dermal Institute is always top-notch, and I absolutely recommend their classes! Kristina Smith Philadelphia, PA PCA Skin's chemical peel training classes. Very good with great products. Angela Pinzon via Twitter Answer our next question: Do you have a skin care specialty? What made you decide to focus on that? Email your answer to editor@ascpskincare.com.
