BEAUTY BUZZ It used to really frustrate me, but as I grow my business, I'm starting to understand the importance of branding, and that's simply what they are doing. It will always be our job to educate our clients on what ingredients will be best for them to see changes in their skin. I don't like knocking other brands—I think there is something for everyone in this market. @valeries_beautyskinmakeup I don't hate it or love it; I do, however, wonder what they'll do without a license if a customer has a reaction. They don't know their skin histology, allergies, medications, or medical issues, and don't take them into consideration. @ladycomen I think it's important to educate people on the signi cant level of di erence a professional or medical-grade product can make. The formulations and quality of products are not nearly as outstanding as a professional product, and sometimes the prices are close to the same, if not more. Beauty goes such a long way in this industry. We are in uenced by a lot of ltered, famous, beautiful people and the products advertised, thinking it will make us equal to them. Our focus needs to be more on the quality of products, clinical studies, and science behind the skin care lines themselves. Research and knowledge will withstand any popularity contest. @southern.idaho.esthetican Hate to admit it, but I'm obsessed with Kylie's lipsticks. Branched out to her baby shampoo and conditioner and it's pretty amazing too. @ashley_rose_esthetics For me, it depends how fast they produce a product. I know what needs to happen behind the curtain to make a great formula from scratch. When they roll out lines with something from every category claiming anyone can use it, it feels like a money grab. I appreciate the skin education content creators who try out the lines and break them down. @theskingal I'm not a huge fan, mostly because their marketing is so great that it gives consumers FOMO, which leads them to using products not meant for their skin type/condition since they haven't consulted with a pro and are purchasing on marketing claims. I also see consumers switching up products too often and mixing/layering products that shouldn't be combined. @jaliadp I'd be open to the idea of it if it was professional-grade ingredients with clients' skin integrity in mind. So many of those brands are designed to be trendy and pretty for the bathroom counter Instagram photos rather than ingredient quality. @megan.skincarewellness WANT MORE ESTY TALK?
