BEAUTY BUZZ WANT MORE ESTY TALK? LISTEN TO THE ASCP E T PODCAST! 1. Open your camera 2. Scan the code 3. Tap on notifi cation 4. Enjoy! I do permanent makeup as well as permanent makeup removal. When I rst started doing removal, I didn't realize the removal bottle looked almost exactly like my dilution bottle. Instead of diluting my pigment with the dilution solution, I had diluted it with removal solution. I essentially just did a full removal on fresh brows. When she came back for her touchup, one brow was not so bad, but one brow was almost completely gone. I told her it was probably because she slept on one side of her face; I xed them and everything was ne. But boy, I learned my lesson! I now keep both bottles very far from each other in my studio. @thecherrydollface I was working at the infamous fast wax center. They allowed clients to be 7 minutes late for the 15 minutes "speed" waxing service. I was running behind. My next client was a male getting a back wax. I was working as fast as I could with caution. I created my center strip going down toward the hips, then was pulling others as I waited for that one to set. When I pulled it, it ung in midair, out of my grasp, and hit the client on the back of the head! Turns out, my strip of hard wax was still tacky. It got stuck to the back of his head. I was sweating horribly as I used oil to remove as much as I could. We got most of it o , and needless to say, I was late for the rest of my appointments. Thankful for the technique from this franchise but I'll never go back to a place like that. @intuitive.esthetician I was lead esthetician, and with the owner out I was the head of sta . I was with a client and heard a knock on my door. I excused myself and was told another esthetician had cut themselves and was bleeding. I told my client I'd be back in a moment and to hang tight. I saw my esthetician holding her hand. She was putting a high-frequency tube in the wand, and it shattered and sliced right into her hand. I wrapped her hand and told her to get to the ER, then rescheduled her client. They ended up having to do surgery because the glass is so thin that it just shatters and keeps imbedding deeper. I am stringent on high- frequency safety to the point of annoying my new trainees. @theskingal I was getting ready for a wax appointment and rolled the wax cart across the oor, not realizing I only had just so much cord. The pot fell o the back of the cart and dumped an entire pot of wax on the oor. Thank goodness it was a concrete oor. But it took about three hours to get all that up. @jasperfrancis I hit a client square in the face with a hot towel. She was masking and I'd just nished her massage. She was out cold. I grabbed the towel out of the cabinet and was making it into the triangle most of us do, and thwap! Towel to the face! What a rude awakening. We both laughed about it, but I've never been sloppy with a towel since. @superiorskinandbrows Once upon a time, long ago, I forgot to ask a regular client if she had started using any new product. She had started using Retin-A and didn't tell me. I waxed the skin o her top lip. She had a black-tie gala to attend the next evening. Lessen learned. Always askā€”never assume. @arianemariano18 New member benefit! Get the ASCP SkinPro app at ascpskincare.com/skinpro 33
