8 ASCP Skin Deep Winter 2022
WHEN THE NEW YEAR ARRIVES, it seems the need to
try something new, do something new, be something
new takes hold. Even though people rarely stick to their
resolutions (some estimates say less than 8 percent), we all
make them with big plans to achieve something new.
ASCP and ASCP Skin Deep magazine have made a few—
maybe not resolutions, per se—but defi nite commitments
to try some new things this year. The big one? ASCP will
be launching a new member benefi t: the SkinPro app.
Exclusively developed for our members, think of it as your
go-to for a second opinion. With just a few clicks, you'll be
able to access information, right in your treatment room,
about skin conditions, ingredients, and contraindications.
The magazine is also in the process of getting a little
facelift—and putting on a little weight. Stand by for more
columns, expanded features, and step-by-step protocols
from your favorite product lines. What would you like to
read about this year? Send me an email—I'm all about new
ideas.
What new things are you going to try this year? Let
me know if you learn a new technique or modality, or
open a second location, or discover a new way to use your
esthetics license. I invite you to attend a new trade show
(our Readers' Choice Awards party at IECSC Las Vegas is a
pretty good time) or enter a contest or off er your services
in a charitable way. I encourage you to be bold this year,
to step out of your comfort zone, to fi nally take that step
you've been obsessing over.
Call me Pollyanna, but I have a feeling 2022 is going to
be amazing. Let's all do amazing new things together.
Cheers,
Try Something New
