find your dream career! ascpskincare.com/career-toolkits 47 Advanced Rejuvenating Concepts Q: Why did you start Advanced Rejuvenating Concepts? A: In the early 1990s, my esthetic practice focused around resurfacing sun- damaged or scarred skin with a CO2 laser— without clients using an adequate skin care routine. The results were not always great and patient downtime was long. We needed products that could prep the skin for resurfacing and encourage rapid recovery post-procedure, and we developed Advanced Rejuvenating Concepts to fulfi ll this need. In our practice, it was the fi rst of its kind to rejuvenate the skin and provide preventive care for patients. Q: Tell us a bit about your professional products. A: Advanced Rejuvenating Concepts professional products are the perfect merging of medical esthetics with spa ambiance. Our goal is to deliver results for the most troublesome skin concerns and maintain beautiful, healthy looking skin—and the product formulations do all the heavy work. We take the benefi ts of growth factors and peptides a step further with our Ultrasonic Rejuvenation System. With our progressive protocols and blended treatments, estheticians have the ability to eff ectively treat many skin concerns without overwhelming themselves, their clients, or their budget. Q: What training do you o er for estheticians? A: Our education opportunities span digital media, books and course materials, and hands-on learning at our training centers in San Antonio, Texas, and Boise, Idaho. Bridging the gap between esthetic and medical, we like to focus our certifi cations on chemical peels, ingredient knowledge, microdermabrasion, ultrasonic therapy, microneedle, and advanced training in laser and photofacials. FOLLOW THE LEADERS ascp skin deep special advertising section Q: What's next for ARC? A: There are several new products in development. We're expanding our formulas with growth factors and peptides, targeting advances in microneedle procedures, and building on post-procedural care for laser patients. Additionally, we want to expand on our best-selling hyaluronic acid complex, Rest-N- Restore, by blending diff erent molecular weights of hyaluronic acid. All of our products are clinically tested, and protocols are developed at our medspa, the Skin Rejuvenation Clinique. As we strive to introduce new products, if a formulation does not perform or seems redundant, we go back to the drawing board. Q: What makes an e ective leader? A: I believe growing the next generation of professionals is one of the many defi ning characteristics of a leader. Every individual has their own defi ning experiences and values, and, as I share my knowledge and experience, they are building and developing on theirs. Recently, my daughter (who is an aspiring laser technician) received a glowing review from a client who said, "She may be even better than her mom!"—and I couldn't be prouder knowing that, like her, our next generation will excel. sponsored by With our progressive protocols and blended treatments, estheticians have the ability to effectively treat any skin concerns without overwhelming themselves, their clients, or their budget. —Tina Zillmann Tina Zillmann, LE, CLHRP, founder and executive director, Skin Rejuvenation Clinique and Advanced Rejuvenating Concepts
