ascp and you: your turn Your Most Memorable Client What was your most memorable experience with a client? Good, bad, funny, scary, or inspiringanything goes. I have a client who loves her treatments so much that she thanks me after every step. After I cleanse her, she tells me how wonderful it felt, and says, Thank you! After the facial massage, she tells me it was the best facial massage she ever received, and thanks me. After the arm massage, she thanks me. She makes me feel so wonderful! JODI BRAun READIng, PEnnSyLVAnIA I had a client I just could not please, no matter what I did. She didnt like my music, she didnt like my decor, and she even told me she was going to try a different salon! After her first facial, she wanted to try a body treatment, which she later told me she wasnt all that impressed by. Then she wanted to try another facialand she complained about that! She was my nightmare client. When she stopped coming in, it was all right with me. Then, a year later, she called and scheduled a facial, and has been a loyal, bimonthly client for four years now! She is still particular, but is now one of my favorite clients. A client informed someone at the front desk that I changed the way she looked at her skin. Wonderful feeling! SARA ROWEn ALBAny, nEW yORK My clients mother came in and she cried, saying he had just had his school pictures taken and this was the first time she didnt have to have them retouched. I am humbled. MARCI PASTEL VIA fACEBOOK I had a very sweet, elderly client come in for a facial on a gift certificate. I instructed her, verbally and with gestures, on how the Velcro wrap was meant to be worn. I left the room, waited, and gently knocked prior to reentry. She was standing there wearing it as a skirt! I acted as if that was the norm, and got her under the sheets as soon as possible! I have a client who was at her wits end in dealing with her acne. She was in tears as she explained she had seen two other estheticians and three dermatologists, and no one could get it right. I felt such a huge responsibility to help this young lady. I took her hands, looked into her eyes, and asked her to put her trust in me. Her first treatment was long, with many extractions, and she was in pain. She still trusted me and came back every couple of weeks. Within 34 months, her skin was 95 percent improved. I see her every month now, and she has become not only my client, but also a friend to my daughter. This young lady has touched my heart with her honesty, sense of humor, and mature attitude about life. She and others like her are the reason I continue to love what I do every day.
