In the last 10 years, the percentage
of male spa clients has skyrocketed
from 31 percent to 47 percent, and
that trend is expected to continue.1
More men are embracing both the
esthetic and health benefits of various
treatments, and as health-conscious
millennials enter the workforce and
earn more disposable income, both
genders from that generation will
be spending more at the spa. On the
other end of the age spectrum, one
study shows that older men seeking
laser procedures, injectables, and
body-contouring treatments are
already outspending their female
counterparts by 13 percent at medical
spas.2 On their own, men shelled out
a whopping $345 million on skin care
products in 2017, with an average
annual growth of 7.2 percent on those
items over the previous six years.3
