I gave a 90-year-old woman her first facial. After putting
the mask on her, I started a hand and arm massage.
Unlike most who close their eyes and almost go to
sleep, she was staring at the ceiling. I hoped she was
enjoying it but wondered what was going on in her
mind ... was she thinking about how long it had been
since she'd been touched like that? Was she missing her
husband? Out of the blue, she said to me, "If I was a cat,
I'd be purring!" Couldn't ask for a better compliment.

I have a client who is blind. I was waxing her eyebrows and
she said I was confident. I thought that was an amazing
thing for someone to say even though she could not see me.
